South Tyrol Sustainability Seal

In South Tyrol a plaque is given to destinations and accommodation establishments actively committed to a sustainable future: the South Tyrol Sustainability Seal. Based upon the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) criteria, it gives recognition to entities in the tourism industry that ensure the protection of nature and people. Those people who, with concrete measures, tirelessly contribute to making South Tyrol a more sustainable place. The road to sustainability is long. There are, indeed, three Seal’s levels. Each level needs different criteria to be met. The third – which is the highest - corresponds to the GSTC certification and it is thus globally recognized.
Our business has been awarded sustainability level 2 out of 3 in South Tyrol and implements targeted measures for the responsible use of resources.
Heat is supplied by a modern wood pellet heating system that uses renewable energy and reduces CO₂ emissions. In addition, heat recovery systems help to use energy efficiently and reduce consumption.
An electric charging station is available to our guests for environmentally friendly mobility. At the same time, we encourage sustainable travel by train. On site, guests benefit from the South Tyrol Guest Pass, which serves as a ticket for public transport in the region and enables car-free mobility.
An important part of our philosophy is close cooperation with local farmers. By using regional products, we strengthen local cycles and guarantee freshness and short transport routes.
We also pay attention to conserving resources in our daily operations: dosing systems for dishwashers and washing machines ensure the optimal use of cleaning agents and reduce water and chemical consumption.
With these measures, we are making an active contribution to a sustainable holiday experience and to protecting our environment.
